THE CULTURAL ASPECT OF TEACHING RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of representing cultural aspect in foreign language learning books. The author conciders the problem in the books published in some Asian countries. The biggest amount of cultural information in these books is about their own lands not about the country of the foreign language. The article provides specific examples from textbooks published in Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The author raises the question of quantity of information about one's own land and the country of the foreign language one studies that can be represented in a Student's book in the given foreign language.
