Abstract

The latest advances in modern biomedicine are increasingly affecting our daily lives. Many established moral principles and values, which until now seemed obvious and well-established in Russian society, began to collapse, thereby threatening the self-identity of a person and society. The authors of the article point to the fact that today the field of biomedical research should be subjected to strict socio-cultural and philosophical censorship from the standpoint of the traditional spiritual values of the numerous peoples inhabiting Russia.
